Limestone Pea
Small, dense spreading shrub or ground cover, 30cm x 70cm - 1m, with attractive holly-like foliage and profuse orange red flowers in winter and spring.
This hardy plant will grow in full sun or part shade in most well drained soils including limestone. Tolerant of light frosts, responds well to pruning and is suitable for coastal plantings.
Chorizema varium is a colourful addition for the garden, native or exotic, and is great for containers and rockeries. The Limestone Pea is an endangered plant from the Swan Coastal District of WA.
